Dr. Noel is a pediatrician, child advocate, specialist in infectious diseases and immunology, and a seasoned expert in drug development, having spent more than 30 years in leadership roles in the biopharmaceutical industry and academia. He joined I-ACT for Children in 2020 after holding leadership positions at Johnson & Johnson, Paratek Pharmaceuticals and AstraZeneca.

Before his 20 years in the industry, Dr. Noel served in academic, principal investigator and director positions at Weill Cornell Medical College. A lifelong champion of pediatric research and care, Dr. Noel co-founded and led the Foundation for Treatment of Children with AIDS and played an important role in establishing pediatric HIV-comprehensive medical care clinics at the New York Hospital and at the DAR-DAR Project in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Dr. Noel is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society. He holds an M.D. from Cornell and was a Clinical Research Fellow at the Maxwell Finland Laboratory for Infectious Diseases, Boston City Hospital, Boston University School of Medicine.
